An evolved version of the XD-4 for all your on- and off-road sport touring adventures.
Shell:
- PB-cLc² shell is assembled using an assortment of materials
- Forehead area of shell reinforced by a Super Fiber Belt; temporal region smoothed out compared to XD-4
- Handmade shell meticulously assembled using an assortment of materials to be strong and lightweight
- Smaller, lower VAS pivot cover along with rounded shell combine to allow greater glance-off abilities in crashes, reducing impact forces
- Hyper-Ridge® provides a flat surface on the sides to allow for easy installation of a wide range of communication devices
- Intermediate Oval (IO) interior fit shape
Ventilation:
- Peak designed for improved ventillation
- Inner shutter allows for more airflow
- Front logo duct allows for airflow regardless of the rider’s position without compromising helmet strength or protection
- AR spoiler contributes to reducing fatigue from turbulent air throughout long rides and works to drew out hot air from crown area
- Retractable pull-down spoiler reduces wind intrusion and helps to pull out exhaled air around the sculpted leading edges of the cheek pads
Shield:
- Face shield is specially rounded to match shell
- VAS-A shield system allows for easier and faster shield swaps without the need for tools
- VAS-A Max Vision™ shield preserves a wide field-of-view and high level of visibility, improved over the XD-4
- Optional Pinlock® insert (sold separately) is effective in resisting fogging
Interior:
- Interior liner has the same acidity level as bare skin with odor- and stain-resistant properties
- Head liner has a removable foam layer on both sides, allowing you to remove up to 5mm of foam for a micro-fit (see NOTE)
- Install speakers directly into provided hook and loop panel without the need to remove the cheek pad covers
- Neck roll has been designed with a pocket to tuck away excess wiring and connectors as well as holes to easily run wires from side to side
Certifications/Warranty:
- Meets or exceeds D.O.T. and Snell standards
- Arai 5-Year Warranty: All Arai helmets are warranted against defects in materials and workman ship and are serviceable only for the properly fitted first user for five years from date of first use, but no more than seven years from date of manufacture. It should be replaced within five years of first use.
NOTE: Once micro-fit pads are removed they cannot be replaced.
NOTE: Fluorescent finishes used in certain models of Arai helmets may fade with the passage of time and exposure to elements.
